Job summary

UW Health is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) for the Pediatric Specialty - Cardiology in Madison, WI. The role supports a world-class team and prepares patients for examinations, recording vitals and medical history; medications and treatments are administered as needed.

Shifts are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 80% FTE, on-site. Benefits include insurance, PTO, retirement plans, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification.
• LPN licensure upon hire.
• Completion of the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program or Employee Partner MA Program.
• CCMA certification as a UWH employee.
• Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program – Accelerated.
• One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and obtain vital signs.
• Document chief complaint, medications and allergies; administer medications and treatments.
• Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and patient education.
