Job summary

UW Health in Wisconsin is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) to join Family Medicine. This role prepares patients for examination, takes vitals, documents chief complaints, and assists with EKGs and treatments.

You will work Monday through Friday with 8:00–5:00 hours, 90% FTE, with variations for department needs.UW Health offers a competitive benefits package including tuition assistance and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program required
• Licensure as an LPN or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification accepted
• Completion of UWH MA Apprenticeship or Employee Partner MA Program or accelerated option
• CCMA certification obtained as a UWH employee or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification Upon Hire Required
• One year of MA experience preferred; CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination, obtain vital signs, document chief complaint, medications and allergies
• Perform EKGs and administer medications and treatments as directed
• Assist providers with diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses
• Promote healthy lifestyles and patient education within a family medicine setting
