Job summary

ProHealth Physicians, part of the Optum family, seeks a Medical Assistant for Pediatrics in Wallingford, CT. Full-time position supporting care team with patient intake, phlebotomy, and clinical/administrative duties within Connecticut scope of practice.

You will work 40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, with 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM shifts and a half-day Saturday rotation. EPIC experience preferred; CPR/BLS preferred; 2+ years of healthcare aide work accepted.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited Medical Assistant program or armed forces medical training or 2+ years healthcare aide experience.
• CPR/BLS Certification preferred.
• Experience with Epic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and clinical support as part of the care team.
• Perform phlebotomy for patients as needed.
• Collect and record clinical information per protocol for visits.
• Manage patients according to approved protocols and scheduling guidelines.
• Document all patient interactions in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Assist with scheduling tests, treatments, and follow-up visits.
