Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Two years of verifiable full-time Medical Assistant experience within the last five years.
• Current BLS certification and CMA/RMA certification eligibility per division requirements.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies and procedures.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks including vital signs, history, and screenings.
• Assists providers with procedures and laboratory duties including venipuncture.
• Performs POCT and CLIA-waived testing per standing orders.
• Administers medications and vaccines per rights of administration.
• Handles referrals, scheduling, and patient messaging; maintains clean work area.
