Job summary

Universal Health Services' Riverside Medical Clinic is seeking an LVN to provide multi-site coverage and direct patient care. You will take vital signs, assist physicians, administer medications, and support patient education while upholding infection control standards.

The ideal candidate holds a California LVN license, BLS (ACLS preferred), and has 2+ years of LVN experience in a multi-specialty setting. This role requires flexibility to travel between offices in the Riverside area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• California LVN license and BLS certification required.
• Two years’ LVN experience in a multi-specialty group setting preferred.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cooperates in cross-training to ensure coverage at all offices.
• Interview patients; measure vital signs and document on chart.
• Prepare exam room; assist physician; sterilize equipment after use.
• Explain procedures to patients and families to gain cooperation.
• Administer prescribed medications orally or by injection and monitor reactions.
• Administer treatments and routine laboratory tests under supervision.
• Initiate IV lines and manage IV fluids under supervision.
• Perform EKG, pulse oximetry, inhalation treatments, and related tasks.
• Travel between departments and facilities to cover needs; inventory supplies.
• Work within LVN scope and clinic policies.
• Discard expired medications and patient supplies.
• Maintain California LVN licensure and BLS certificate.
