Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse for Riverside Medical Clinic in Southern California. This role covers multiple offices, assisting in examinations, taking vital signs, and supporting physicians in procedures.

You will administer medications, monitor patient responses, and participate in education while maintaining infection control and aseptic techniques. The LVN must hold a California license and BLS, with ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CA LVN license.
• Graduate of accredited LVN program; multi-specialty setting preferred.
• Two years' LVN experience preferred in a multi-specialty group.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs; document on chart.
• Prepare treatment room and assist physician; sterilize equipment.
• Explain procedures to patients and families to gain cooperation.
• Administer medications and document time, dosage, route.
• Perform treatments and routine lab tests under supervision.
• Initiate IV lines and manage IV fluids per physician.
• Perform EKGs, pulse oximetry, and inhalation treatments.
• Travel between departments to cover offices; order supplies.
• Operate within LVN scope and clinic policies.
• Discard expired samples and supplies; maintain licensure and BLS.
