Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for Riverside Medical Clinic. The role covers multiple offices based on operational needs, assisting physicians with exams, procedures, and patient education.

You will take vital signs, document patient history and charges, and ensure infection control and aseptic techniques are followed. Ongoing education and licensure maintenance are required, with opportunities for professional growth within UHS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current California LVN license.
• Graduate of accredited LVN program.
• Two years’ experience in a multi-specialty setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cover clinical offices as needed to ensure full patient access.
• Take vitals and interview patients, record chart data.
• Prepare treatment rooms and assist physicians during procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients and families to gain cooperation.
• Administer prescribed medications and document administration.
• Perform routine lab tests under supervision.
• Initiate IV lines and monitor IV fluids as directed.
• Perform EKGs and other routine monitoring per certification.
• Travel between departments as needed and assist with inventory.
• Maintain licensure and BLS/ACLS certifications.
