This position at Children’s Nebraska, in collaboration with the University of Nebraska Medical Center, seeks a Pediatric Infectious Disease physician with a proven track record in extramural research funding. The successful candidate will receive a competitive support package to foster a successful career as a physician scientist, with responsibilities including mentoring trainees and junior faculty. Research will be the primary focus, alongside clinical duties in general infectious diseases or transplant/immunocompromised patients, depending on the candidate’s interests. The candidate must hold a faculty appointment at UNMC, be Board-eligible or Board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases, and be eligible for licensure in Nebraska.

The division comprises 11 faculty members, supporting general pediatric infectious diseases and transplant/immunocompromised services, with a team including APPs, Pharm ID, and a pediatric ID fellowship. Resources for research and clinical support are available through the Child Health Research Institute. This role offers significant potential for career advancement in pediatric infectious disease.
