Job summary

The Smilist in Langhorne, PA is seeking a reliable Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (Pediatrics) to join our growing pediatric-focused practice. You will support clinicians, maintain a sterile operatory, and ensure a positive patient experience from start to finish.

Candidate requirements include PA x-ray and EFDA licenses, proven dental assistant experience, and strong teamwork and communication skills. Pediatric experience is strongly preferred; Dentrix experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Must have a PA x-ray license.
• EFDA license required.
• Prior pediatrics experience strongly desired.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures.
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management
