Kaniksu Community Health in Idaho seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (Pediatrics) to join a patient-centered care team in a busy primary care setting. You will support exam rooms, assist providers, document visits, and help coordinate care across pediatric services.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vitals, performing routine procedures, and supporting referrals. Occasional travel to satellite clinics may be required, with a strong emphasis on accurate record-keeping and patient

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical and/or nursing assistant program with a CMA or CNA credential.
• 3–5 years of experience in a primary care setting, community health center, or public health preferred.
• Possess light typing skills and computer skills.
• Nextgen and/or AthenaOne or other electronic medical record experience preferred.
• Demonstrates accuracy, proficiency, and efficiency in medical record documentation.

Responsabilités

• Preparing exam rooms and instruments/equipment for procedures and treatments; restocking and inventory management.
• Rooming patients, obtaining history and documenting chief complaints.
• Taking and recording vital signs and administering screening tests under supervision.
• Performing routine patient procedures (lab work per provider direction).
• Assisting providers with patient care tasks including pap tests and dressings.
• Preparing patient records for referrals and communicating information to other health care providers.
