Job summary

Kaniksu Community Health, a non-profit community health center in north Idaho, seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (Pediatrics) to deliver excellent patient care in a fast-paced, team-based environment. The CMA assists in exam rooms, rooms patients, records vital signs, and supports providers across pediatrics.

Requirements include CMA or CNA credential, graduation from an accredited program, and 3–5 years in primary care. Experience with NextGen or AthenaOne EMR is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical and/or nursing assistant program with a current CMA or CNA credential.
• 3–5 years of experience in a primary care setting preferred.
• Experience with NextGen and/or AthenaOne EMR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and instruments/equipment for procedures and treatments.
• Room patients, document visits and obtain patient history.
• Take and record vital signs and perform screening tests as directed.
• Assist Providers with procedures and patient care tasks (pap tests, dressing, etc.).
• Prepare patients for diagnostics, collect specimens, and label while following CLIA guidelines.
• Support integrated care with other KCH services.
