Job summary

Kaniksu Community Health seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team in Idaho. You will perform essential clinical and administrative duties in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment, contributing to a high-quality care experience.

Under the Nursing leadership, you’ll room patients, document history, collect vitals, and assist with procedures while helping coordinate integrated care with Dental, Behavioral Health, Pharmacy, and other services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical or nursing assistant program with CMA credential.
• 3-5 years of experience in a primary care setting or community health center.
• Proficient typing and computer skills.
• NextGen EMR experience preferred.
• Excellent patient communication and teamwork.
• Active driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and equipment; maintain inventory.
• Room patients and document visit reason and history.
• Record vital signs and administer screening tests.
• Perform routine patient procedures per provider direction.
• Assist with procedures and dressings.
• Prepare patient referrals and coordinate with other providers.
• Distribute patient education materials.
• Support integrated care with other KCH services.
• Ensure high quality and coordinated patient care.
