Job summary

MultiCare Health System's Rockwood Clinic in Spokane, WA is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) to support clinical teams in a busy pediatric/family practice setting. The MA-C will organize patient flow, obtain vital signs, interview patients and assist with exams while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Requirements include Washington MA-C certification, at least one year of healthcare experience preferred, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• Washington MA-C certification required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum one year healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organizing patient flow in collaboration with front office staff.
• Interviewing patients.
• Obtaining vital signs.
• Assisting patients in preparing for exams or treatments.
• Performing specimen collection, including venipuncture.
• Administration of medications in compliance with WA DOH regulations.
• Relaying instructions to patients and families/caregivers.
• Sending and receiving of patient medical records.
• Facilitating patient referrals.
• Preparing forms for patients.
