Job summary

Duke University Health System is seeking a Director of Advanced Practice for the pediatrics service line at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for Advanced Practice Providers across divisions, reporting to the Chair of Pediatrics to drive clinical initiatives and ensure high-quality patient care.

Primary hours are Monday through Friday, with flexibility to meet patient and department needs.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience overseeing APPs in a service, division, or department.
• Strong communication with clinical and administrative teams.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and licensure requirements.
• Experience with credentialing and performance improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for Advanced Practice Providers.
• Collaborate with departmental and health system leadership to align goals and initiatives.
• Develop and implement clinical programs ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care.
• Support APP recruitment, hiring, evaluation, and retention strategies.
• Promote professional development and participation in research and education.
