Job summary

Phoenix Children's is seeking an experienced Vascular Access nurse for full-time and part-time night and mid shift opportunities at our Thomas Campus. Ultrasound-guided IV experience is required, and pediatric experience is preferred.

The nurse will perform PICC insertions, ultrasound-guided IVs, and blood draws across hospital and outpatient settings, with flexibility to float to other campuses. Ideal candidates are autonomous, clinically strong RNs who can work independently while supporting

Qualifications

• Vascular access nursing experience required.
• Ultrasound-guided IV experience is required.
• Pediatric nursing experience preferred.
• Nurse must be able to work nights and weekends and potentially float to other campuses.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing assessment considering age and condition to determine alignment with care plan.
• Evaluates patient responses and documents progress in charts.
• Ensures safe medication handling, storage and documentation.
• Provides orientation and mentorship to students and new staff.
• Supervises care activities and provides feedback to teammates.
• Collaborates with care team and family to implement care plans.
• Participates in patient care rounds and care conferences.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as requested.
