Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking a registered nurse to insert and manage vascular access devices for patients undergoing medical treatments. This 36 hrs/week night shift (7p–7a), with every third weekend and holiday rotation, offers benefits eligible care.

Qualifikationen

• BSN or Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire, required.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio, required.
• One year post orientation related clinical experience in area of specialty, preferred.
• Clinical skill and knowledge in the nursing care of children, required.

Aufgaben

• Assesses patients' vascular access needs and determines the most appropriate access device.
• Cares for peripheral IVs, midline catheters, and PICCs and monitors for complications.
• Educates patients and families on vascular access care and maintenance.
• Collaborates with the care team to develop vascular access policies and procedures.
• Participates in quality improvement to enhance safety and efficacy of care.
