Job summary

PM Pediatric Care is seeking a Registered Nurse to support pediatric urgent care services, providing clinical and administrative support to providers and patients under physician supervision. The role emphasizes patient care, safety, and HIPAA confidentiality, with a weekend rotation and weekend availability.

Requirements include pediatric experience, active nursing license, BLS, and familiarity with pediatric pharmacology.

Qualifications

Pediatric experience is required; Pediatric ER, pediatric hospital unit, or pediatrics urgent care experience preferred.
Active state nursing license or active compact state licensure from your state of residence.
Experience with nursing procedures (IV placement, catheterization, medication administration).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) recommended.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations.
Obtain medical history, vital signs, intake, and prioritize patient care.
Perform procedures (venipuncture, IV insertion, urinary catheterization), administer medications, assist physician with total patient care.
Maintain knowledge of pediatric pharmacology.
Maintain exam rooms stocked with supplies and prepare sterilization tools.
Support in lab quality control testing and overall safety practices.
Assist physician with patient care during x-ray process and patient positioning.
