Job summary

PM Pediatrics in New York seeks a Registered Nurse for pediatric urgent care. You will support providers and office operations, obtain histories and vitals, perform venipuncture and IVs, administer medications, and assist physicians with total patient care within your scope.

Weekend availability and on-call are required. Active RN license in the US, BLS is required and PALS is recommended. Strong teamwork and HIPAA-compliant patient confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Pediatric nursing experience required; pediatric urgent care or ER exposure preferred.
• BLS certification required; PALS recommended for Pediatric patients.
• Ability to perform venipuncture, IV insertion, and pediatric medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients and office operations.
• Obtain medical history and vital signs; prioritize patient care.
• Perform venipuncture, IV insertion, catheterization and administer medications within scope.
• Assist physician with total patient care and patient comfort during procedures including x-ray support.
• Maintain room readiness, stock supplies, and ensure equipment sterilization.
