Job summary

PM Pediatrics is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our pediatric urgent care team. This role focuses on providing front-line patient care under physician supervision, with duties spanning clinical assessment, administration of medications, and ongoing patient support.

Ideal candidates will have pediatric nursing experience, an active RN license (or compact state licensure), and knowledge of pediatric pharmacology.

Qualifications

• Pediatric experience is required; Pediatric ER, hospital unit, or Pediatrics Urgent Care Experience preferred.
• Active state nursing license or active compact state licensure from the state you reside
• Prior experience and competency with nursing procedures (IV placement, urinary straight catheterization, medication administration)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) recommended
• Knowledge of medical practice and terminology, clinic's processes, and procedures

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations
• Obtain medical history, patient vital signs, intake, and prioritize patient care
• Perform procedures (venipuncture, IV insertion, urinary catheterization, medication administration) and assist the physician with total patient care
• Remain knowledgeable in pediatric pharmacology
• Assist in patient care within the scope of practice
• Maintain instruments and prepare sterilization tools and equipment as required
• Practice safety practices and precautions
• Protect patient information per HIPAA regulations
