Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Glenn Mills, PA and North Wilmington, DE is seeking an Urgent Care Physician to join its expanding network. The role includes weekend days and weekday nights, with duties spanning assessment, diagnostic testing, and patient management.

Candidates should be MD or DO with 2–3 years in pediatric urgent care or PEM, board certification/eligibility in Pediatrics or PEM, and PA/DE licensure plus DEA. This is a full-time opportunity in a leading pediatric health system.

Qualifications

• MD or DO required and pediatric specialty preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in pediatric urgent care or pediatric ED.
• Board certification/eligibility in Pediatrics or Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
• Current unrestricted Pennsylvania/Delaware licensure and DEA.

Responsibilities

• Administer or order diagnostic tests (x-ray, ECG, labs).
• Record health history, progress notes, and exam results.
• Interpret diagnostic test results for management decisions.
• Perform injections, suturing, wound care, and other procedures.
• Make provisional diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Prescribe therapy or medication.
• Counsel patients on prescribed regimens and health maintenance.
