Job summary

Nemours Children's Health seeks an Urgent Care Physician for its expanding Urgent Care Network in Glenn Mills, PA and North Wilmington, DE. The role requires weekend days and weekday nights, with benefits and support typical of a leading pediatric health system.

Qualified candidates hold an MD or DO with board eligibility/certification in Pediatrics or Pediatric Emergency Medicine. PA/DE licensure and DEA are required.

Qualifications

• MD or DO credentialed physician with board eligibility/certification in Pediatrics or Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
• Two to Three years of experience in Pediatric Urgent Care or Pediatric Emergency Department preferred.
• Current Pennsylvania/Delaware licensure and DEA.

Responsibilities

• Administer or order diagnostic tests (x-ray, ECG, labs).
• Record patient data and health history.
• Interpret tests and provide provisional diagnoses.
• Perform procedures (injections, suturing, wound care, fracture splinting, drainage).
• Prescribe therapy or medications.
• Counsel patients on treatment regimens and health maintenance.

Nemours Children's Health is seeking an Urgent Care Physician for our newly expanding Urgent Care Network in Glenn Mills, Pennsylvania and North Wilmington, Delaware. This position will require the provider to work weekend days and weekday nights.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer or order diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests.
• Obtain, compile and record patient medical data, including health history, progress notes and results of physical examination.
• Interpret diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
• Perform therapeutic procedures, such as injections, suturing and wound care, fracture splinting, and incision and drainage, removal of foreign objects, among other procedures.
• Make provisional diagnoses and decisions about management and treatment of patients.
• Prescribe therapy or medication.
• Instruct and counsel patients about prescribed therapeutic regimens and health maintenance.

Qualifications

• MD or DO.
• Two to Three years of experience, preferably in a Pediatric Urgent Care or Pediatric Emergency Department setting.
• Board certification/eligibility in Pediatrics or Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
• Current unrestricted Pennsylvania/Delaware licensure and DEA (PA, DE).
