Job summary

PM Pediatric Care is hiring Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) with pediatric or urgent care experience to join our team. Under local clinical leadership, APPs evaluate and treat pediatric patients in urgent care settings, including telemedicine, with evidence-based protocols.

Responsibilities include urgent care assessments, procedures, radiograph interpretation with radiologists, and supervision of staff on shift.

Qualifications

• Pediatric experience required; Pediatric ER, General Pediatrics, or Urgent Care Experience preferred.
• Active ANCC Board Certification or NCCPA Certification.
• Active RN and NP/PA state license for treating patients.
• Minimum 2 years of independent pediatric clinical experience as an APP (or 1 year in urgent care/EM).
• Excellent communication and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficient with EMR systems, preferably eCW.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat pediatric patients in urgent care in-person and via telemedicine.
• Manage acute injuries/illnesses including fever, ENT, asthma, and abdominal pain.
• Perform urgent care procedures like abscess drainage, foreign body removal, and wound repair.
• Obtain and interpret radiographs with radiologist over-reads where applicable.
• Oversee daily operations and patient flow for on-site and telemedicine visits.
• Adhere to policies and report any necessary changes to management.
• Collaborate with on-site and telemedicine teams to ensure daily tasks and timely patient follow-up.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality.
• Update knowledge through training and continuing education opportunities.
• Contribute to service recovery and improve patient experience and throughput.
• Focus on efficiency metrics and antibiotic stewardship.
