Allied Physicians Group in Staten Island, NY seeks a Medical Assistant to support pediatric urgent care teams in a fast-paced, child-focused environment. You will prep patients, obtain histories, and assist with urgent procedures to keep care efficient and compassionate.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, vitals, phlebotomy, EKGs, documentation, and patient education. The role requires BLS/PALS, phlebotomy, and EMR experience; benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401K with 4% match,

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required.
• EKG certification/experience required.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• Urgent care, emergency medicine, or pediatric experience strongly preferred.
• Strong clinical, multitasking, and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred (AthenaOne experience a plus).
• Compassionate, team-oriented, and patient-focused mindset.

Responsabilités

• Room and prepare pediatric patients for urgent care visits
• Obtain vitals, medical histories, and perform clinical intake
• Assist providers with urgent care procedures and patient flow
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, point-of-care testing, and specimen collection
• Support medication administration and clinical documentation
• Educate and reassure patients and families during visits
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and infection control standards
• Collaborate closely with providers, nurses, and front desk staff
• Help ensure an efficient, positive patient experience
