Job summary

PM Pediatrics is seeking a Medical Assistant to support pediatric urgent care operations, providing both clinical and administrative help under physician supervision. The role emphasizes patient care, teamwork, and maintaining a clean, efficient environment across departments.

Candidates should have pediatric MA experience, lab skills, and strong communication. Willingness to commute to sister offices in Bridgewater, North Brunswick & Springfield is required as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior Medical Assistant experience or education.
• Knowledge of EKG placement and pediatric processing.
• Ability to obtain lab tests via nasal swab and venipuncture.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations.
• Greet and register patients as they arrive.
• Obtain medical history, vital signs, and intake.
• Prepare patients for X-rays.
• Perform and document routine labs (venipuncture preferred).
• Irrigate and assist with wounds.
• Assist in performing quality control testing in the lab.
• Be an integral part of the patient care team and assist with patient care within the scope of practice.
• Keep exam rooms and front reception stocked with adequate supplies.
• Maintain order and cleanliness of the waiting room area.
• Practice standard safety practices and precautions.
• Help patients in distress by responding to emergencies and notifying medical team.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations.
• Assist with complaints and service recovery when needed.
• Perform other duties including splint application and assisting nurse/provider as required.
• Provide exceptional customer services.
