Job summary

PM Pediatrics is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our pediatric urgent care team. You will provide clinical and administrative support, take medical histories, monitor vital signs, and assist physicians with procedures, medication administration, and patient comfort.

The role emphasizes pediatric care within scope, under physician supervision, and requires HIPAA-compliant handling of information.

Qualifications

• Pediatric experience is required; Pediatric ER, Pediatric hospital unit, or Pediatrics Urgent Care Experience preferred.
• Active state nursing license or active compact state licensure from the state you reside
• Experience with nursing procedures (IV placement, urinary straight catheterization, and medication administration)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) recommended
• Knowledge of medical practice, terminology, and clinic processes

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations
• Obtain medical history, vital signs, intake, and prioritize patient care
• Perform procedures (venipuncture, IV insertion, catheterization), administer medications, assist physician
• Maintain knowledge of pediatric pharmacology and assist with patient care
• Keep exam rooms stocked and maintain instruments and sterilization
• Assist in lab quality control testing and in x-ray process
• Ensure HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information
• Support team and contribute to workflow efficiency in urgent care
