Job summary

PM Pediatric Care is hiring Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) with pediatric or urgent care/ER experience to join our team in Florida. Under guidance, APPs evaluate and provide evidence-based treatment to pediatric patients in urgent care settings, including telemedicine when applicable.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, procedures, and collaboration with on-site and telemedicine teams, with a focus on safety, HIPAA compliance, and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Pediatric experience required; Pediatric ER, General Pediatrics, or Urgent Care Experience preferred.
• Active ANCC Board Certification or NCCPA Certification
• Active RN (if applicable) and NP/PA state license for each state where treating patients
• Master of Science in Nursing or Doctoral degree in Nursing or Master of Physician Assistant Studies required
• Minimum 2 years of independent pediatric clinical experience as an APP or 1 year in urgent care/EM
• Ability to think critically, multitask, and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent computer skills and experience with EMR (eCW experience preferred)
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and nonverbally

Responsibilities

• Provide expert assessment and treatment of acute injuries and illnesses for in-person and telemedicine patients.
• Perform urgent care procedures, including abscess drainage, foreign body removal, and laceration repair.
• Obtain and interpret radiographs with radiologist reads where applicable.
• Oversee daily operations and patient flow for in-person and telemedicine visits.
• Ensure efficient operations by following policies and reporting changes to management.
• Collaborate with on-site and telemedicine teams to complete daily tasks and follow‑ups.
• Promote safe, confidential care and HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain patient confidence and protect operations through confidentiality.
• Update knowledge via training programs and continuing education opportunities.
• Contribute to service recovery by assisting staff and patients with complaints.
• Improve efficiency and patient experience through focused metrics.
