Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a research assistant to support bench research and pediatric oncology projects at the Simpson Querrey Biomedical Research Center.

You will perform tissue culture, in situ hybridization, immunostaining, data analysis, and manuscript preparation under supervision. The role requires 40 hours per week with a mix of administrative duties (reagent ordering, lab database management) and bench work, contributing to ongoing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science or related field with relevant lab experience.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot and work independently.
• Excellent English communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support scientific research and bench experiments by following protocols and performing basic experiments.
• Analyze and troubleshoot protocols and data; suggest improvements.
• Maintain detailed records and present results with charts/graphs for reports/publications.
• Prepare/review literature and contribute to grant applications/manuscripts.
• Manage lab supplies, reagent inventory, and equipment; assist with calibration and validation.
