Position Summary:

Greetings from The Fun Kids Dentist Pediatric and Orthodontic Dental Office! We are excited to welcome new team members into our office. Here at The Fun Kids Dentist, our number one priority is our patients. We strive to provide the highest level of pediatric/orthodontic dental care. We believe that in order to provide this top level of care and customer service for our patients, we need to find the most talented individuals that enjoy being part of a fun and passionate team of dental professionals. We are currently looking to add a Pediatric Treatment Coordinator to our growing office.

Role Overview:

The Treatment Coordinator's main responsibility is overseeing all new patients and presenting care. This individual will work with patient families through their initial visit, treatment planning, and establishing a dental home. Responsibilities include explaining treatment options, presenting treatment plans and fees, researching insurance coverage and pre-authorizations, arranging payment plans, scheduling care, and following up on patient questions and concerns throughout their treatment journey.

Effective communication, a friendly attitude, and helping families overcome obstacles to care. The Treatment Coordinator sets the tone for the patient experience in our office, reflecting our culture through exceptional customer service and care.

Education and Experience:

The ideal candidate must have at least two years of sales experience. Dental or medical field experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided for the right candidate.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with patients, parents, staff, and community.
• Effective verbal communication to educate and guide patients and parents regarding treatment.
• Gentle persuasion skills to instill confidence and facilitate acceptance of treatment.
• Excellent written communication and grammar skills.
• Typing skills for chart entries and correspondence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Organized with strong follow-through.
• Knowledge of dental insurance; healthcare insurance knowledge is a plus.
• Positive, confident, enthusiastic attitude.

Responsibilities:

New Patient Process:

• Greet and orient new patients.
• Organize radiographs, records, and referrals prior to visits.
• Review and document patient forms.
• Assist with insurance pre-authorization, financial arrangements, and agreements.
• Schedule treatment visits and coordinate with specialists if needed.
• Follow up with families and manage records.
• Confirm receipt of all necessary documentation before treatment.
• Maintain consultation rooms and literature.
• Coordinate with treating dentists on follow-up communications.

Patients of Record:

• Meet with established patients for treatment planning and financial discussions.
• Collaborate with front desk to follow up on treatment needs.

Marketing and Practice Promotion:

• Follow up post-treatment to establish or refer dental home.
• Assist with practice-building activities and community outreach.
• Participate in staff meetings and other tasks as assigned.

Salary: $19-$24 hourly
