Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an RN Supervisor with hospital-based leadership experience to coordinate real-time patient placement, staffing, and hospital operations. This role requires active MN RN license or MN Temp Permit and current BLS certification.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of hospital nursing experience, leadership in a hospital setting, and familiarity with electronic bed boards and surgery scheduling.

Qualifications

• Active MN RN license or MN Temp Permit-RN required
• Current BLS certification required
• 3-5 years of hospital-based nursing experience required
• Nursing leadership experience in a hospital setting required, including managerial, supervisory, charge nurse, educator, or resource nurse roles
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience with electronic bed board and surgery scheduling preferred
• Pediatric experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Pediatric-focused unit providing family-centered nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents
• Provides real-time coordination of hospital operations, staffing, patient placement, and transfer activities
• Utilizes an electronic health record (EHR) system
• Schedule includes day, evening, and night shifts on a variable basis
• Combination of 8- and 12-hour shifts
• Works every 3rd weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Accountable for professional nursing practice, including independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions performed in collaboration with other healthcare team members
• Coordinates care using the nursing process across the hospital system
• Collaborates closely with other health team members to ensure safe, efficient, and timely patient care delivery
