Job summary

Nemours Children's Health – Orlando, FL is seeking a Trauma Program Nurse Manager to lead the pediatric trauma program. The role partners with the Trauma Medical Director to ensure high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in patient outcomes.

The position requires an RN license in Florida, a Master’s degree, and at least three years of emergency/trauma experience, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree is required.
  • Current RN license in Florida or Advanced Practice Provider status.
  • Minimum of three years of emergency and trauma experience; trauma system experience preferred.
  • American Heart Association BLS required upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the planning, development, and daily operations of the pediatric trauma program.
  • Partner with the Trauma Medical Director to maintain compliance with Florida Department of Health standards.
  • Develop and manage the program's operational budget.
  • Lead performance improvement initiatives focused on quality outcomes and patient safety.
  • Oversee trauma policies, protocols, and registry documentation.
  • Provide leadership for professional education and community outreach related to trauma services.
  • Participate in local, regional, and state trauma system activities.
