Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Pediatric Emergency Department at Carolinas Medical Center. The role is full-time, 36 hours per week, with 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

shifts and weekend requirements as needed. The RN will provide patient-centered care, collaborate with the care team, and adhere to safety and documentation standards. Required are a nursing degree and active RN licensure with BLS certification; typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) of RN location.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage in governance and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilize nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans with the care team.
• Uphold a culture of safety and maintain timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units as needed and provide appropriate delegation.
