Loma Linda University Health is seeking a Patient Navigator-Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for the Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program in the Children’s Hospital outpatient clinic. The LVN will work under supervision to provide age-appropriate care to patients from birth to 26 years or older with malignancies or hematologic disorders.

Responsibilities include assisting MD/NP with exams, ensuring insurance authorizations and coding, and following designated case management activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of vocational nursing required.
• Minimum six months LVN experience or one year MA in a physician back-office setting.
• Minimum one-year oncology/hematology clinical experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide developmentally appropriate direct and indirect patient care in the TCT outpatient clinic.
• Assist MD/NP with examinations and procedures as requested.
• Ensure insurance authorizations, test results, and coding information are available for review.
• Follow up on designated case management and navigation activities with the RN/MD/NP.
• Be flexible and float to other areas as assigned.
