Children’s Mercy Kansas City is expanding its Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition by adding a Pediatric Transplant Hepatologist to care for infants, children, and adolescents with complex liver diseases.

The successful candidate will teach medical students, residents, and fellows, participate in clinical and translational research, and collaborate with regional transplant partners in a large, multidisciplinary team.

Qualifikationen

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Gastroenterology.
• Additional fellowship training in Pediatric Transplant Hepatology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Missouri and Kansas.
• Demonstrated clinical expertise and a strong interest in teaching.
• Commitment to academic medicine and participation in research.

Aufgaben

• Provide specialized clinical care for infants, children, and adolescents with acute and chronic liver diseases.
• Participate in multidisciplinary clinics and collaborative programs within hepatology and gastroenterology.
• Perform endoscopic and hepatology related procedures appropriate for scope of practice.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in the ACGME accredited Gastroenterology fellowship program.
• Engage in clinical, translational, or outcomes research within pediatric hepatology.
• Collaborate with regional transplant partners and multidisciplinary teams.
• Share in equitable call responsibilities within the division.
