Job summary

VCU Health/CHoR seeks a full-time BC/BE pediatric hepatologist to join the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology. This is a faculty position with affiliation in the Department of Surgery, contributing to a growing multidisciplinary pediatric transplantation core team at CHoR.

The role emphasizes clinical care, teaching residents and fellows, and opportunities for translational or basic research, with collaboration across CHoR’s downtown and community locations to advance exceptional patient

Qualifications

Board Certification/Board Eligible in Pediatrics
Board Certification/Board Eligible in Pediatric Gastroenterology
Board Certification/Board Eligible in Pediatric Transplant Hepatology
Experience in pediatric hepatology and transplantation
Experience with patients birth to 21 years
Experience with education of residents and medical students
Experience with research
Excellent interpersonal skills
Commitment to diversity, professionalism, and civility in a diverse academic environment

Responsibilities

Teaching: Faculty member will have teaching responsibilities in Hepatology and mentor Residents.
Research: Experience securing revenue through grants/contracts and mentorship for division and Department of Pediatrics.
Service: Participation in departmental/School of Medicine committees and professional development.
Clinical: Provide clinical support within the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology for CHoR and VCU Health System
