Job summary

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta seeks a Transfusion Medicine and Apheresis physician to join our Division of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. The role reports to the Chief of Pathology and contributes to academic activities, teaching, and clinical leadership within a large pediatric system.

The candidate should excel in transfusion medicine, apheresis, and collaboration with clinical teams, staff, and families, with opportunities for research and program development.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with board certification in Clinical Pathology or related pediatric medicine.
• Board certification in Transfusion Medicine.
• Licensed to practice in Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the assigned clinical area in alignment with hospital policies.
• Lead and participate in quality improvement and research initiatives.
• Educate trainees and staff on transfusion medicine and apheresis.
• Document and communicate results accurately for patient care and reimbursement.
• Collaborate with department and caregivers to ensure safe transfusion practices.
• Maintain certifications and participate in ongoing professional development.
