Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus seeks a Therapy Technician to assist occupational and physical therapists in delivering developmentally appropriate therapy for patients from neonates to adults. This role supports daily patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment, including setup, documentation, and collaboration with care teams.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent with basic familiarity with a medical environment.
• Experience with working with children preferred.
• Current BLS/ CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain.
• Ability to follow directions from a therapist or therapy assistant.
• Articulate, courteous and supportive with hospital staff, patients and families.

Responsabilidades

• Provides age-appropriate care for Neonate to Adult per routine guidelines.
• Attends health, safety and training in-services and mandatory activities.
• Sets up and cleans up patient care areas as requested by therapists.
• Performs patient care activities within training scope as directed.
• Coordinates patient transportation with therapists and unit staff.
• Maintains inventory of linens and patient supplies.
• Cleans and disinfects hydrotherapy areas and mats per protocol.
• Notifies supervisor of unsafe situations or incidents.
• Completes relevant documentation per hospital guidelines.
