Job summary

Blue Bird Day, LLC in Wheaton, IL is seeking a Therapeutic Assistant Department Lead to support children ages 2-7 with ASD and related needs in a play-based, child-centered clinical environment.

You will mentor Therapeutic Assistants, collaborate with occupational, physical, and speech therapists, and help plan therapy activities and classroom sessions. Hours Mon–Fri, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM; pay $20/hour; benefits include health insurance, FSA, PTO, 401(k), and CEU reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree OR completion of at least 60 semester hours of college-level coursework.
• Experience working with children or clients with special needs is a plus.
• Receives a score of Meets or Exceeds Expectations for most competencies in the performance review.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with individualized therapy activities and classroom/lesson preparation.
• Supporting group therapy rotations.
• Collaborating daily with therapists and social workers.
• Maintaining a positive, engaging, play-based learning environment.
