Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Child Life or Creative Arts Therapies and 5 years relevant experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification required at hire or within one year.
• Certification/licensure in related field required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees recreation therapy, child life and creative arts services for inpatients.
• Supervises, trains and orients staff; coordinates department activities and policies.
• Develops in-service continuing education and new program development.
• Assesses patient needs and promotes functional independence through therapy.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to integrate patient programming.
