Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Facilitates developmentally appropriate play opportunities for pediatric patients.
• Promotes participation in special events and holiday activities.
• Communicates with the inter-disciplinary team to ensure patient safety.
• Maintains confidentiality per facility policy.
• Develops therapeutic relationships with patients and families and supports newsletters.
• Ensures safety of patients during activities and events.
• Complies with department, facility, and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment and orders needed supplies timely.
• Participates in ongoing education and development to enhance skills.
• Manages staff scheduling and payroll for recreational therapy aides.
