Job summary

Blythedale Children's Hospital in Westchester County near New York City seeks compassionate Therapeutic Recreation Assistants to support developmental and recreational programming for patients across infant/toddler, child/adolescent, and Brain Injury units.

Under supervision of a CTRS/CCLS/LCAT, TRA will plan and deliver individualized and group activities, support care plans for families, and participate in events and donor activities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is required.
• Experience in preparing and implementing activities preferred.
• High School Diploma Required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver individualized and group recreational activities based on patients’ developmental and therapeutic needs.
• Support the implementation of care plans for patients and families.
• Participate in special events, visiting groups, and donation activities.
