Job summary

Blythedale Children's Hospital is seeking a Therapy Aide to support our pediatric therapy team. You will escort patients, assist with equipment transfers, and help with therapy sessions under therapist supervision.

Strong English communication is required, and prior experience with children is preferred. The role includes assisting with pool operations, keeping equipment and supplies in order, and maintaining accurate EMR records in Meditech.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children preferred.
• Must be able to speak and write in English proficiently to perform job duties such as communicating with patients, writing documentation, and participating in team meetings.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients, transferring them on and off equipment under supervision by therapists.
• Assist in changing patients to and from adaptive equipment as scheduled by therapists.
• Run upper extremity exercise classes as directed by therapists.
• Assist with pool operations, including managing supplies, temperature checks, showering, dressing, toileting, and disinfecting hydrotherapy equipment.
• Maintain department and equipment inventories, organize supplies, and ensure proper documentation in the EMR system (Meditech).
• Participate in hospital training as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
