Job summary

Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join the Pediatric Surgical Services Team. This full-time day shift role requires flexibility for weekends, holidays, and call rotation.

The position focuses on maintaining a sterile environment, supporting pediatric surgeons, and ensuring safe, efficient procedures for infants and children. Education must include an Associate's degree in Surgical Technology, with BLS required and CST preferred

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required or equivalent experience in lieu of education.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures.
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs throughout each procedure and prepare instruments and supplies accordingly.
• Ensure proper handling and disposition of surgical specimens and instruments.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety.
• Participate in the required call rotation.
