Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Lead Surgical Technologist to support our Pediatric OR team at Wolfson Children's Hospital. This Full-Time Days position requires flexibility for weekends and holidays as needed.

The role focuses on maintaining a sterile field, assisting surgeons, and ensuring patient safety throughout procedures. Certification and OR experience are valued, with a sign-on bonus available for hires.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technologist program (CAAHEP/ABHES).
• Prior OR experience preferred.
• CST/TS-C certification preferred or NCCT/NBSTSA.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assembling, organizing and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and progression of the case.
• Proper disposition of specimens and instruments.
• Works with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety.
• Call is required for this position.
