Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our Pediatric Surgical Services Team at Wolfson Children's Hospital. This is a full-time day shift position.

Candidates must be flexible to work weekends, holidays, and participate in the required call rotation. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in supporting pediatric surgeons and the operating room team by maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring safe, efficient surgical procedures for infants,

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required or equivalent experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs throughout each procedure and prepare instruments and supplies accordingly
• Ensure proper handling and disposition of surgical specimens and instruments
• Collaborate with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety
• Participate in the required call rotation

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT preferred, but not required
