Job summary

Wolfson Children’s Hospital, the region’s only dedicated children’s hospital, seeks a Lead Surgical Technologist for the Pediatric OR. You will support surgeons, nurses and patients in a fast-paced operating room, ensuring a sterile field and precise case progression.

Requires graduation from an accredited program and CST certification; an AS degree is required, with BLS completed. The role is full-time days with weekend/holiday flexibility and a $10,000 sign-on bonus for qualified hires.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technologist program (CAAHEP or ABHES).
• Certification as Surgical Technologist (CST) from an accredited program preferred; NBSTA/NCCT acceptable but not required.
• Associates degree required; Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, organize and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and progression of the case; prepare accordingly.
• Proper disposition of specimens and instruments.
• Work with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety.
