Job summary

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Tech I: HS diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited pharmacy technician-training program, or acceptance into pharmacy school, or HS diploma with one year of pharmacy/healthcare experience.
• Pharmacy Tech II: HS diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited pharmacy technician-training program, or acceptance into pharmacy school, or HS diploma with one year of pharmacy/healthcare experience.
• Tech II requires NC Board of Pharmacy registration and certification by PTCB or ExCPT.

Responsibilities

• Prepare intravenous admixtures or other sterile products (including chemotherapy).
• Fill physician orders/prescriptions, medication carts, or stock requisitions.
• Fill daily restock requests and document in compounding software.
• Assist with cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of equipment.
• Deliver medications and supplies to patient care areas.
• Assist with training of new employees and students.
