Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Stepdown RN for a night shift in a Level I Trauma Center in Connecticut. An active CT or Compact RN license and BLS are required; PEARS is preferred.

This position is travel-oriented and requires prior travel experience. Requires at least 2 years of pediatric stepdown experience, Level I Trauma Center exposure, and cardiovascular care skills including dysrhythmia interpretation; eating disorders experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required before start date.
• BLS certification required; PEARS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric stepdown or related experience.
• Level I Trauma Center experience required.
• Experience with cardiovascular care including dysrhythmia interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to pediatric patients in a stepdown unit within a Level I Trauma Center academic medical center.
• Maintain patient-to-nurse ratio around 1:4.
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:00.
• Work every other weekend as required.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs; use Epic EMR for charting.
