Job summary

The University of Chicago is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Stem Cell Transplant Program. The APP will deliver expert clinical care, perform comprehensive assessments, and manage individualized care plans for children with complex hematologic, oncologic, and transplant-related conditions.

The role involves collaboration across inpatient and outpatient teams, participation in research initiatives, and development of clinical policies.

Qualifications

  • Requires RN license in Illinois and APN certification.
  • Experience in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Stem Cell Transplant settings preferred.
  • Familiarity with EPIC and other EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced clinical care for pediatric hematology/oncology and transplant patients.
  • Coordinate inpatient and outpatient care and ensure timely visits and procedures.
  • Contribute to protocol development and research initiatives.
  • Educate patients and families about transplant processes and care plans.
  • Coordinate pre-, peri-, and post-transplant care across teams.
