Job summary

Cook Children's Health Care System in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Staff Speech Pathologist to provide in-patient and/or out-patient services for pediatric patients, focusing on feeding, articulation, language and voice disorders. You will evaluate, treat, and develop home programs to improve functional communication and swallowing skills, and contribute to a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

Masters degree in speech-language pathology.
Pediatric experience preferred.
BLS certification within 30 days of employment.
State license or eligible for state licensure.
CCC-SLP certification or eligible upon completion of Clinical Fellowship Year and must be obtained within 12 months of hire to maintain employment at Cook.

Responsibilities

Provide in-patient and/or out-patient speech therapy focusing on functional skills to enhance development.
Evaluate, treat, and provide home programming for pediatric feeding, articulation, voice, language disorders.
Aural rehabilitation and devices evaluation; assess augmentative communication needs.
Educate patients and caregivers; coordinate with professionals and community partners.
