Job summary

MedCare Pediatric is seeking a Home Health Pediatric Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to deliver one-on-one therapy in children’s homes. You’ll work under licensed SLP supervision to address communication, feeding, and swallowing goals in the child’s natural environment.

Flexible scheduling with Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN options, sign-on bonus for full-time caseloads, and supportive clinical supervision are provided to foster professional growth and work-life balance.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited SLPA program.
  • Texas SLPA license current or eligible by start date.
  • One year of experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech-language therapy under supervision of a licensed SLP.
  • Support treatment plans addressing communication, articulation, language, feeding and swallowing.
  • Monitor progress and communicate updates to supervising SLPs and care team.
  • Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans to meet each child’s goals.
  • Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary team to promote carryover.
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Qualifications and Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
  • Current Texas Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license, or eligible to obtain licensure by the anticipated start date
  • One year of experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
